“Auld Lang Syne” – A Season’s Greeting from Kevin Walsh

This lovely arrangement of the traditional Scottish song (words by Robert Burns) is by Kevin Walsh, the wonderful composer who did the music for OUTLANDER: The Musical. Kevin thought you might enjoy this, and I certainly agree!

If you’d like to keep the song with you for a little longer, it’s available here on iTunes.

Happy Solstice!

  1. Thank you, that was beautiful!

I had not heard all the lyrics before.

  2. That was absolutely beautifully sung Kevin! I loved it and I will probably have to buy it and add to all my other favourite Scottish music.

  3. wonderful. love it.

  4. Lovely! Thanks for the link, Diana.

  5. One of my favorite holiday songs…it brings back memories of childhood. We need to treasure happy moments and remember who we are…Happy Christmas and Merry New Year to you and your family!

  6. Thank you, that was beautiful.

  7. I bought SP the other night for my husband to give me on Christmas. I am trying not to read any of the blogs so I can savour every second with the book.

I am almost down with DTSS, Lord John and I learned much about how Zombies are actually created! I am wondering where you got that info from Dianna, it is a very plausible theory now that I’ve read your description of how Zombie’s come to life. I have a feeling there will be more to that story with Lord John somewhere in the future. Although the story ended as it should have for the novella, it seems there should be more. I love the Lord John series too, as you might be able to tell.

I’ve also been thinking about the on again/off again tidbits about a possible movie or miniseries in the future of the Outlander Series. And you know what, I’m starting to think? No movie, what-so-ever, could ever live up to what my imagination and your words have provided for me.

Right now, if I could get to those stones, with the description of the way to time travel back to Jamie’s time, I would do it, in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for giving me something so enjoyable.

Have a cool yule and a frantic first!

  8. I am loving The Scottish Prisoner. There’s nothing more delightful to see Jame and Lord John together under less than optimal circumstances….then again, that seems to be the only conditions where they find one another, aye?

  9. Lovely song and really enjoyed hearing more from Kevin Walsh. He’s fantastic! Thank you for sharing with us. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  10. This *is* a lovely version – very earthy. Another version that I love (with Robert Burns’ lyrics) is by Dougie MacLean – lyrics and the music at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acxnmaVTlZA.

So enjoy your books, Diana. Am looking forward to SP – holding off for the week after the hectic holidays – my present to myself! Merry Christmas!
