  1. You’re going to be very busy in Canada! What airline are you flying? I want to buy some stock. ;)

  2. What!. No Winnipeg visit?

  3. Nothing in the Greater Vancouver area? I won’t be able to get over to Victoria to see the show. Bummer!

  4. Diana! Delighted that you’ll be in Ottawa!

    • Hi Catriona,

      Maybe we’ll finally meet? :)

    • Ahhh so close, but so very far… I’m in Montreal…. Hope you can make it up here sometime, Diana. I understand you were here a few years ago, but I was unable to get there…

  5. Winnipeg would love to see you back again.

  6. I know that you certainly are not going to have time or energy to stop everywhere, but I do see a wee gap. Any chance it’s being held for Winnipeg? I’m going to ask Random House the same thing :-)

    • Dear Sandi–

If you mean the 28th/29th…that will be my first weekend at home in three weeks. Much as I love Winnipeg …I love my husband more.

      • I understand,Diana. I missed seeing you on the last book tour (I was actually too nervous to meet you and now regret it). We as fans sometimes have to be reminded that you get to have a personal life

      • I like to think that there is much of you in Claire. And yes, swoon, lucky lady, you are married to the closest replica of Jamie. DBD

      • Hi Diana,
While I’m disappointed I won’t be able to make it to Victoria, I hope you have a great visit. It’s a gorgeous city.

  7. Will begging for a Vancouver date help? It is much easier to get to Vancouver from Calgary than to Victoria…

  8. just thought I’d let you know…. Edmonton is known for its incredible enthusiasm/ support in all things creative, and artistic. And even though we get over looked for most concerts/ book signings and art shows, as apposed to Calgary, We really do have some of the most passionate fans! Just check out our concert/event reviews on fans:) (sorry, just hoping to win over your promoters/ book signing overseers hearts, so we could bring you closer to our home) I know your very busy, and I’m glad you’re coming to Canada either way:)

    • Dear Bobbie Lee–

I’ve been to Edmonton many times, and have always enjoyed it. [smile] But I can’t be everywhere, and it’s up to Random House Canada where they want me to go.

  9. Good afternoon,

Will you be able to stop by Montreal?

  10. Hello
A big fan of your books. Are you comming to Montréal or maybe in Québec city?
Anyway I’m so exciting of the new book comming out. And so exciting too for the tv serie comming out soon. Wow for sure will be in front of my tv.
    Continue your great work…

  11. Definitely worth the trip from Montreal. Thank you for all your Ontario stops!

  12. Cannot wait for Barrie event!…and to see you again Diana, hopefully!

Is there any chance for you to be at Fergus highland games this year?

All the best for you Diana!
    I cannot for your book.

  13. You’re coming to Victoria??? Hoorayyyy! Buying a ticket for sure, I can’t wait :)

  14. Hi Diana
Any plans for Halifax, Nova Scotia in your itinerary?

  15. Not Winnipeg this time? I’ve been to your reading/signings (at McNally Robinson) for the last three books! Well, not reading last time – you had a terrible sore throat so it was ore a Q and A – you were wonderful anyway!

  16. Since you’ll me close to the U.S. border, come on down to Billings, Mt.

  17. ………..and what’s wrong with visiting Edmonton?

    • Dear Ann–

Well, you’ve got rather hostile immigration officials…no. [g] It’s just that there’s only one of me, and I can’t be everywhere. The Canadian publisher chooses which cities they want for their book-tour.

  18. I am so excited about book 8, the tv series, and that I may get to meet you when you come to Toronto. This series has been amazing, the characters so rich and memorable. It will be extraordinary to see them brought to life on the screen. Thanks Diana for your all your talent and hard work. S

  19. Oh Thank you! Just got my tickets for Victoria, can’t wait.

  20. Eastern Canada gets left out again. There are many fans here too!

  21. Wahooooooooo You are coming to Victoria which means your VancouverIsland fan base does not have to pay BC FERRIES TONNES of money to go see their fave author! Can’t wait to meet you!

  22. Sad to see there won’t be any stops in Eastern Canada :(

  23. Sooo happy u will be in Calgary ! Thank you !!

  24. London will welcome you BACK! !!!!

  25. Hi Diana,
I’ve just started reading the series again and am wondering if there are plans for a 20th anniversary copy of any of your books other than Outlander. I would love to add them to my collection.
    Please let me know,

  26. What about Montréal? Please come and see us! Thank you.

    • Dear Flame–

Love Montreal! [g] I only go there, though, for the French translations of the novels. (French publisher is the one who invites me.)

  27. Just wondering if you know when the book will be translated to french ?

    • Dear Nancy–

I don’t, but it usually seems to take about a year for the foreign translations. The French publishers (now there are two, in France and in Quebec) usually release my books in two separate volumes, with different publication dates. Hope you’ll enjoy them–I hear the French translations are very good!

  28. Hi Diana. I hope you come to Eastern Canada some time. Nova Scotia (my home), PEI (where I live now) or New Brunswick (close enough for me to travel to)!

  29. So disapointed to not see you in Winnipeg this time around. Maybe more dates can be added later? :) But I understand that it must be a rough time on the road for so long. Hope you have some great days off and just want to thank you for this wonderful world of Outlander and for all your hard work! Hugs to you.

  30. Darn! Wish I hadn’t used my flex day already for this quarter. Hmm, wonder if I should beg for some training at head office I Calgary that week?….

  31. I hope you’ll come back to Montreal… I started reading your books recently since my mom is one of your biggest fan and I absolutely adore them. I’m actually moving to Scotland next year so I hope I’ll see you before I leave if you ever come for the French translation! Have a great trip while you’re in Canada!

  32. When are you coming to Edmonton?
I have read Written In My Own Heart’s Blood. Loved it, love them all.
When is the next book one coming out?

  33. I am very disappointed. have read the first 7 books in series twice am reading the eight now. I have been wanting to meet you since the first book. But your stop in Calgary in impossible for many readers. unless you pay up to 100 dollars for membership you can’t go. why was it not in Chapters? we have a number of them and we have had a number of authors there to sign. Sorryu will not get to go.

    • Dear Pamela–

Are you sure that you need a Costco membership for the book-signing? You might call and check, ‘cuz that sounds very odd to me.

  34. Have a wonderful Canadian tour – I just wish you were coming to Halifax! You should think about visiting Atlantic Canada at some point – the scenery is beautiful and there are lots & lots of Outlander fans! Just don’t come in the winter!

  35. Diana,

I am so happy that I can see you in Barrie ON, I hope am not a babbling fool and actually make sense.

    Thank you

  36. Hello Diana,

I just wanted to say thanks again for your wonderful books! I also wish to say thanks for coming to Ottawa for your book signing for MOBY last night, it was my first time going to such an event and was so much fun! Listening to your stories about how you came to be a novelist was such a delight!
I very much love your sence of humor!!

    Thanks again!

Blessings to you and yours as you travel the world for your book tour!!

    Jacklyn : )

  37. Just read last book. Wonderful discussed with niece cannot wait for next book, alas it will be a while.

  38. ‘Way back in 1997 I traveled with you to Iceland and thence to Scotland with some so-called “Duchess” and her crowd of writers. It was a pleasure to meet you and chat a bit when we strolled among the stones at Clava Cairnes. It was there I tucked some of the North Carolina pebbles I’d brought with me as a homage to stones everywhere.

By the way, I wrote my late-in-life master’s thesis about a real Scotswoman, Janet Schaw, who traveled through the West Indies in the 1770′s and up to revolutionary North Carolina.. all the while complaining her disapproval of those upstart Americans rebelling against the king. I’d love to have you read about her.

    • Hi, Tony!

I wasn’t in Iceland, but I do recall the Scottish part of that trip, yes. I’ve actually read Janet Schaw’s memoir–fascinating stuff. [g]

  39. They certainly left NOTHING to the imagination in the first showing this evening. Good grief, why don’t I remember all the _ _ _? I better go back and start rereading! I actully fast forwarded thru those scenes!
Yes, I know I’m weird, but the rest of it was really well done…lots of graphic scenes coming I see…I can squint my eyes. I remember speed reading thru some of them. Lordy Lou, the scenery is spectacular.

  40. Hi! I was wondering if you have any information about the French translation of moby? Do you know when it’ll be released in France or Quebec? Can’t wait to read it!

    • Dear Caroline–

The French Canadian publisher tells me it will be out in late October/early November. Hope you like it!

      Best wishes,
